But here you can see some of the things we get up to.

It's a lively place with a big Sunday School and of course YooF. There's loads of other things going on. We've organised some truly big events - Graham Kendrick - Tony Campolo - African Childrens' Choir - and last Christmas we brought three real camels to the town as part of the Bethlehem Christmas Experience. That brought the town to a standstill!!

Then there's - the largest Christian youth event in lanarkshire which is organised by some of our YooF team and held in our church 4 times a year. Read on.........

Graham Kendrick

Graham Kendrick has been to Avendale 3 times in the last four years. Amazing nights - huge crowds. In December 2008 he visited and was joined by the choir from Kirkland Park Primary School in his Christmas presentation, dreaming of a holy night.

Bethlehem Christmas Experience

Christmas 2008 we had 1000 people in our church for the Bethlehem Experience. 3 real camels lead a procession from Kirkland Park Primary School to the church and we had an outdoor indoor bazaar and people have been talking about it even since it happened.

24/7 Prayer

In November 2008 YooF helped organise a 24/7 prayer room in the town. 200 people from all the churches in the town kept a constant chain of prayer going for 168 hours as individuals or groups from 8pm one Sunday until 8pm the next. we were lent a flat in the very centre of the town and the week finished when 80 folk crammed into the little flat to pray together for the final hour.
